There were multiple structural engineering challenges on this new-build mews house. In many ways the project may be seen as a test-bed and prototype for advanced construction technology.

One key feature of the structure is exemplary fair-faced in-situ concrete finishes, quite possibly the best quality ever achieved in the UK and a result of close collaboration and positive team working with the architect, contractor and engineer. The concrete incorporates a high proportion of UK sourced GGBS cement replacement to reduce embodied carbon. The slabs incorporate heating and cooling pipework.

Other features include a robot-built perforate brick façade, an ultra-high strength concrete scissor stair, walk on rooflights supported by fluvial fabricated steel beams and acrylic balustrades.
